Silane Coupling Agent KH-170:Bis(trimethoxysilylpropyl)amine is a secondary amino silane with 2 silyl groups. 6 methoxy groups could offer a good crosslinking density. KH-170 is a light yellow transparent, low viscosity liquid with an amine-like odor. KH-170 is soluble in alcohols, and aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbons. However acetone and phenoxin can not be used as diluent. This product can also be soluble in water, but hydrolysis occurs. Hydrolysates are not stable ,and the storage period is short. KH-170 can be used as adhesion promoter, surface modifiers, and cross-linking agent and dispersant. To upgrade the combination of power and compatibility between inorganic mineral powder material, fiber and polymers(resin) . And to improve the adhesion, water resistance between resin coating and the inorganic substrate. KH-170 typical uses include construction materials, modified rubber, paints, inks, casting resins, adhesives, fiber glass, etc. Bis(trimethoxysilylpropyl)amine could be used in phenolic resin, epoxy resin, furan resin, acrylic resin, polyurethane ,RTV polyamide, polyolefin, fluorine rubber, nitrile rubber, polysulfide rubber, EPDM and so on.
