Silane Coupling Agent KH-578:3-Glycidoxypropylmethyldiethoxysilane, also known as 3 - [(2,3) - epoxy propoxy] propyl methyl diethoxy silane,KH-578 is a kind of epoxy Based Silane Coupling Agent.Epoxy group of KH-578 can react with many kinds of resins. While, the Si-OH formed after the hydrolysis of the trimethoxy can have condensation reaction with the hydroxyl on the surface of the inorganic materials. Thus erected between inorganic materials and resins ,”molecular bridge”, to play a role in coupling.KH-578 is a colorless and transparent, low viscosity liquid, slightly similar to the smell of rosin. It can be soluble in alcohol, ether, ketones such as aliphatic solvents and aromatic solvents; This product can also dissolve in water, but will the hydrolytic reaction, the stability of the hydrolyzate is better than three methyl KH-560 3-Glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane. KH-578 can be used as adhesion promoter, surface modifiers, cross-linking agent and dispersant. To upgrade the combination of power and compatibility between inorganic mineral powder material, fiber and polymers(resin) . And to improve the adhesion, water resistance between resin coating and the inorganic substrate .the product is mainly used to improve water-based coatings, water-based adhesive to the inorganic substrate adhesion and water resistance.KH-578 applies to resins including acrylic latex, SBR latex, water-based polyurethane dispersion and water-based epoxy resin and so on.
