Silane KH-566,2-(3,4-epoxycyclohexyl)ethyltrimethoxysilane

Silane KH-566,2-(3,4-epoxycyclohexyl)ethyltrimethoxysilane is a kind of epoxy silane coupling agent. Epoxy can react with many kinds of resins. While, the Si-OH formed after the hydrolysis of the trimethoxy can have condensation reaction with the hydroxyl on the surface of the inorganic materials. Thus erected between inorganic materials and resins ,”molecular bridge”, to play a role in coupling.KH-566 is a colorless and transparent, low viscosity liquid, somewhat similar to the smell of rosin. It is soluble in aliphatic solvents and aromatic solvents such as alcohol, ether, and ketones. It is also soluble in water, however, hydrolysis occurs. Hydrolysates are not stable, and the storage period is short.KH-566 can be used as adhesion promoter, surface modifiers, cross-linking agent and dispersant. To upgrade the combination of power and compatibility between inorganic mineral powder material, fiber and polymers(resin) . And to improve the adhesion, water resistance between resin coating and the inorganic substrate. KH-566 typical uses include construction materials, modified rubber, paint, coatings, inks, foundry resins, adhesives, sealants, fiberglass, abrasives, electronics packaging materials and other industries.KH-566 is an excellent adhesion promoter for resins including epoxy, phenolic resin, polyester resin, polysulfide rubber, polyamide, acrylic resin, PBT, PU and so on.
