Silane Coupling Agent KH-831：n-Octyltrmiethoxysilane is a medium-chain length of alkyl functional silanes.KH-831 (octyl-trimethoxysilane) can be infiltrated from the surface of its internal; Si-OH formed after the hydrolysis of trimethoxy can react with the hydroxyl of materials. and cross linked with each other.. Octyl gives material good hydrophobicity, effectively prevents water and moisture penetrating into the material, which play a role of protecting material agent and hydrophobic agent. KH-831 is a colorless, low viscosity transparent liquid with solvent odor similar to alcohol. KH-831 can be soluble in non-polar solvents, such as alcohol of aliphatic solvents and aromatic solvents, solvent oil. KH-831 is mainly for the following purposes:
1.Construction waterproofing agent, protective agent: This product or its diluents can form a layer of dense water-repellent layer on the substrate surface (and within a few millimeters) so that the surface have a "lotus effect", Inhibit water infiltration, so as to effectively prevent the seepage of water, sunlight, acid rain and sea erosion of the substrate to extend the life of the building.
2.Inorganic filler surface treatment agent: This product can significantly improve the filler in plastics, rubber and resin in the dispersion and compatibility for most inorganic powder materials and plastics, rubber and resin.
3.Pigment dispersant: The deal has a better dispersion of pigments, resin compatibility and hiding, so that the color is more gorgeous.
